~ Dr. Sharon Hughes ~

  Dr. Sharon Hughes is Chairman and CEO of Hughes & Associates, Inc. She has degrees in Behavioral Science, Business Administration (MBA) and Educational Administration.  She has more than 25 years of philanthropic management experience.  She has served in senior management positions and has extensive experience in program development, federal, state, foundation and corporate grant writing, curriculum development, business planning, management and supervision, financial aid program development, accreditation, business development, non-profit management, childcare center development, and fund development. She is the former Grants Administrator for the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She is presently an adjunct professor for the University of Phoenix and the Community College of Southern Nevada, facilitating courses in Business Management and Communication.

~ Ramona Beasley ~

  Ramona Beasley is a grant writing associate and researcher for Access One. She has written successfully funded grant applications to a variety of federal, state and foundation funders for Access One since 1980. She is a former Employment and Training Coordinator for the Los Angeles Community Development Department where she was responsible for design, development and implementation of employment training programs for housing authority residents throughout Los Angeles County. In addition, she served as a supervisor in South Central Los Angeles where she coordinated recreation, human service and clinical services for residents at 37 scattered housing sites. Her additional expertise is in the fields of educational administration, accreditation, program development, database systems and prospect research. She has worked in various aspects of post-secondary education management since 1988. She has degrees in Liberal Arts and Human Services Management.

~ Dr. Jeannine Talar ~

  Dr. Jeannine Talar is the senior grant writer for Access One. Her educational background includes a B.A. in journalism from Marquette University, M.S. in Urban Affairs (Public Administration) from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and a Ph.D. in psychology from Saybrook Graduate School, with emphasis in community development, social support networks and multiculturalism. She also has her accreditation in public relations. As a journalist, her byline literally appeared around the world. She has served in community relations positions with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the Las Vegas Valley Water District, and the Southern Nevada Water Authority. In these positions, Dr. Talar has served as liaison between the organization and various aspects of the community, and assisted in strategic planning and grant-writing efforts for the agencies. She also has provided technical assistance to numerous community organizations and nonprofits in the areas of fund-raising, grant writing and public outreach. An award-winning writer, she also has extensive experience in grant-writing, research, marketing, public relations and Internet communications. She is presently an adjunct professor for the University of Phoenix, facilitating courses in Psychology and Communication.

~ Wanda Flagg-Fernandez ~

  Wanda Flagg-Fernandez is an associate grant writer for Access One. She has a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Management, a California Adult Education Teaching Credential and a certificate in Intergroup Relations. She possesses an extensive background in program development, having served more than 20 years in a range of senior management positions in both the public and non-profit sectors. Her professional experience includes leadership of statewide educational campaigns, event planning and coordination, and marketing and communications management. Flagg-Fernandez is fully bilingual (English/Spanish).
